Highclare Senior School, Erdington

The work involved the removal of 3 redundant boilers and flue pipes, which were to be cut back to the wall for later reuse by others. The works were carried out under fully controlled conditions by our expert asbestos removal team and notified to the HSE.

All pipe insulation was removed and the pipes were cleaned down by carrying out a thorough environmental clean. The boiler room was the visually checked by the asbestos supervisor to see if there was any visible debris or dust, which was removed by the operatives and any pipework leading out the of the pipework were sealed using correx and foil tape.  Following this, the operatives completed a full thorough environmental clean to all walls and floors of the boiler room. The walls were then prepped and painted with 2 coats of grey ET150 allowing the tenants to reuse the walls at a further date.

Once all above works had been carried out, an independent analyst attended site to carry out a 4 stage clearance and issued a reoccupation certificate to ourselves and the client.
