What is Asbestos Removal?
Asbestos is made up of natural fibres that over time crystalise, these fibres do not evaporate or dissolve when in contact with water. It is highly resistant to fire and heat. Asbestos was used most in the construction and manufacturing industry in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
At first no one was aware of the dangers that it could cause when disturbed, when asbestos is damaged, the tiny fibres that are released into the air can cause health problems, if left untouched it should not pose any threat at all. Asbestos was officially banned in August 1999.
