We offer surveys and testing as well as safe and qualified disposal of asbestos all over Hampshire. We work within the rigorous guidelines of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (HSE) to safely complete licensed and unlicensed works within the public, private, and domestic sectors.
Our process includes:
- Survey and testing carried out to identify the types of asbestos
- Management & encapsulation
- Removal
- Disposal of asbestos
- Remediation of asbestos-contaminated land
- Blast and breathe method is also available
High Quality Removal and Disposal of all Types of Asbestos
There are three main types of asbestos often found.
- Blue (crocidolite)
- White (chrysotile)
- Brown (amosite)
In the UK, asbestos is on average responsible for over 5000 deaths per year, resulting in serious health complications such as Mesothelioma, lung cancer, lung disease or other deadly illnesses when repeatedly exposed to asbestos. This makes the removal and disposal of asbestos paramount.
As an accredited asbestos removal service, our team is certified to perform the entire removal process, including survey and testing, encapsulation, safe removal, and disposal of asbestos.
Encapsulation is the process of applying a protective layer onto the asbestos-containing material (ACM), providing protection from ACM damage.
DES provide licensed asbestos removal in Hampshire, with a team fully equipped to correctly dispose of asbestos. With the various types of asbestos available, it’s essential for our team to first assess and survey the situation to ensure your safety as well as our team.
Once the asbestos is removed, it’s wrapped up or double bagged. Next, it’s placed into an enclosed purpose-built asbestos skip and transported directly to a licenced landfill. For smaller volumes of asbestos waste, however, it’s instead placed directly onto our vehicle’s segmented and secure waste boxes before then being transported to an asbestos waste transfer facility for disposal.
Incorrect disposal of asbestos is in fact illegal and will result in a heavy fine as well as a possible prison sentence.
