What is Asbestos and why do we remove it?
Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibre that was widely used in construction and other industries. This was until the banning of all types of asbestos on August 24th, 1999. Asbestos was used frequently because it was resistant to heat, fire and mechanically strong.
The types of asbestos come under two families the serpentine minerals or amphibole family, however Chrysolite (white asbestos) was used frequently in construction and other industries but was the most dangerous.
Our highly trained expert team are fully licensed and experienced to manage, encapsulating, removing, and disposing of all types of asbestos-containing materials. We provide survey and testing, as well as professional and safe removal.
Three main types of asbestos can be found in the UK.
- Blue (crocidolite
- White (chrysotile)
